Feed Additive for Anorexia in Cattle

CMBG feed additive of onion and jaggery

Anorexia is the loss of appetite and disorder of eating. It may be due to several reasons. It could also be an indicator of disease or due to heat stress in summer.

A simple feed additive which can easily be prepared at home can help to recover anorexic state in cattle. It only contains two ingredients.

1.    Onion

2.    Jaggery (Gur).

For preparation just take one regular size onion and peel its outer layer by a knife. Take one piece of jaggery. Use mortar and pestle to crush these ingredients into small pieces so that they can be easily swallowed. Feed it to cattle once a day for three days. And if it becomes alright then feed this on every third day.

Note: This is only a feed additive and if the problem persists, a local veterinarian must be contacted. This is based on experience, therefore, feed your cattle on your responsibility.
