How to qualify for HEC Indigenous Scholarship Batch VI?

 

Higher Education Commission has announced ‘’HEC PhD fellowship 5000’’ Indigenous Scholarship Program.

Often, this scholarship is announced in March and April every year. Whereas the test is conducted in August and September (the current epidemic COVID-19 situation may affect this schedule).

The ambition of HEC is to produce highly qualified 5000 PhD scholars in Pakistan. HEC has planned six batches and 2800 scholarships have been provided to different scholars across Pakistan and AJK. The citizens of KPK can apply on open merit has their quota has been ended. Whereas the students of other provinces have to follow respective protocols.

Scheme of test:

To qualify for the scholarship, one should;

1.         Obtain at least 50 passing marks on the test.

2.         And academic score (AFE score by HEC).

The test is comprised of;

1.         Verbal

2.         Analytical

3.         And Quantitative reasoning questions.

 

1.         Verbal Section of the exam evaluates the basic English language skills and consists of grammar, synonymous, antonyms, phrases and gerund participle etc.

2.         Analytical Section evaluates the intelligence level of the brain. It predicts one’s ability to pick something beyond the respective subject.

3.         Quantitative Section tests the mathematical skills of students. The students of biology also undergo this test as they will also have to deal with mathematics in life.
