Faculty of Animal Husbandry celebrates World Eggs Day 🥚

Eggs are the incredible, versatile and nutritious treat of nature. They are not just delicious but also packed with multiple health benefits and hence deserve their day in spotlight. 

World Egg Day is celebrated internationally on 2nd Friday of October each year. Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Agriculture Faisalabad celebrated the egg-citing World Egg day on 13th of October 2023 with full zeal and zeast. The event included multiple contests like egg art competition, egg colour basket, poster competition, pictorial flex competition, photography competition, egg dishes and games. 


The event initiated with the recitation of Holy Quran. Dean Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Prof. Dr. Qamar Bilal welcomed to the participants and guests in his address. There were three technical sessions by Dr. M. Yousaf, Dr. Fawwad Ahmed and Dr. M. Ashraf, to highlight the importance of Eggs, its nutritional importance and progress in poultry industry. Inaugural session ended with the vote of thanks by Director Institute of Animal and Dairy Sciences, Dr. M. Riaz Virk.

Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmed Khan, Along with Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science, Dr. Farzana Rizvi, visited the department of Animal Husbandry. He duly appreciated the organizing committee. During his round he cherished the student’s participation.

After a thorough evalution session by organizing committee, results were finalized. This event was a full package of amusement, apprehension and refreshment. The event ended with applause of cheer and joy all aound.

Celebrating such days raise nutritional awareness among people which has a great impact on economics of industry. This reminds us of ensuring access to affordable hence nutritious perks of nature. World Egg Day is all about promoting our agriculture sustainability, unity and food security.
