While I had a blessed time with great scientist Dr. Shujat Ali I was pleased to ask him an interesting question.
"How did you become a scientist? And how can we become a scientist?".
Dr. Shujat Ali's articles have been published more than 200 times internationally in journals and he has made an incredible work in the field of animal sciences. His research on camel is very valuable. He has visited more than eight countries and foreigners are admired by his appreciated revolutionary work.
Dr. Shujat says something that made him scientist was "Who? What? Why?".
He started his journey of becoming a scientist from childhood. When a milkmen used to milk four buffaloes at his home and he used to sit near him along with his cousins holding empty glasses for fresh milk. He used to observe it carefully and think that from where does this milk come from? He had a pond at the corner of the home where he had kept some fish and used to observe it for a long time. He used to observe earth worms after the rain. He also used to chase ants 🐜. In his childhood he disected frogs 🐸 and observed tadpoles. By plucking horse hairs he made a catcher by attaching it to a brush. This curiosity and great thirst for knowledge lead him to become a scientist. Dr. Shujat emphases on importance of time. He advises to create a time table and follow it. "Time is money". Further he suggests good books like "Hundred great personalities, Pakistan times, Oxford dictionary, Chambers dictionary, Collins dictionary and Gem dictionary".

In my point of view we need great inspiring teachers just like Dr. Shujat to make our students scientists. Other teachers must ponder about their behavior. Because a teacher can make a student or break a student. We are greatly thankful to Dr. Shujat for his worthy time, inspiration and guidance.
